Wildthunder Wildlife & Animal Rehabilitation & Sanctuary (often abbreviated as W.A.R.S.) is a state and federal licensed wildlife rehabilitation center and state licensed animal shelter facility in eastern Iowa.
We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization
Operated and run by volunteers and funded by donations.
Tracy Belle, Founder and Director of Wildthunder is a Master Class Wildlife Rehabilitator who is State & Federally licensed for wildlife care and rehabilitation.
We work with multiple species of injured and sometimes orphaned wildlife and we specialize in injured and medically compromised animals.
These animals include raptors, reptiles, and mammals as well as exotic animals.
